The following can be found in local grocery stores and/or health food stores. There are all kinds of "milks", from Almond Milk to Rice Milk and everything in between.
Be a label reader. The label shows the ingredients in sequence, beginning with the highest percentage item. From the label you can see the percentage of ingredients such as salt, sugar, fat content, etc. and decide which product you should purchase.
Some of the "meats" have MSG (a known carcinogen) in them and may be identified as: autolyzed yeast, calcium caseinate, gelatin, glutamate, glutamic acid, hydrolyzed protein, monopotassium glutamate, monosodium glutamate, sodium caseinate, textured protein, yeast extract, yeast food, or yeast nutrient. Try to avoid them. Be a vigilant shopper, read the label to ensure what you are purchasing meets your standards for good health. Some of the "meats" we use may have negligle amounts of "unhealthy" ingredients in them, but we were trying to be thorough, so again "be a label reader" so you can decide if you want to buy it or not.
You may think that it cost a lot of time to prepare these recipes, but at the end of the day, you should consider the REAL cost it takes to be in good health.
Comes in refrigerated, shelf-stable, coconut flavor, cashew flavor, honey flavor, and vanilla flavor.
To make your own -directions:
1. Soak the almonds overnight or up to 2 days.
2. Drain and rinse the almonds.
3. Combine the almonds and water in a blender.
4. Blend at the highest speed for 2 minutes..
5. Strain the almonds.
6. Press all the almond milk from the almond meal.
7. Sweeten to taste.
8. Refrigerate almond milk.
Keeps for up to 30 days.
Or just buy some almond milk.

This "bacon" is CLEAN. They state on their website that they use "Non-GMO Textured Soy Protein" which begs the question: what is GMO Textured Soy Protein?
For the novice, "GMO" means Genetically Modified Organisms, which means that the food item has been chemically modified and may cause harm to humans, animals, and the environment. Which why there is such a big push for organic produce. According to the Journal of Organic Systems (2014 report), GMO's have been the cause of up to 22 diseases over the last 20 years. An excerpt: "A huge increase in the incidence and prevalence of chronic diseases has been reported in the United States (US) over the last 20 years. Similar increases have been seen globally. The herbicide glyphosate was introduced in 1974 and its use is accelerating with the advent of herbicide-tolerant genetically engineered (GE) crops."But I digress. ..
(Whole Grain) Bread
Made in Bread Machine
Ingredients:

1 1/3 C Hot Water

4 T Honey
-
2 T Soy Butter
-
1 t Sea Salt
-
2 C Bread Flour
-
2 C Whole Wheat Flour
-
2 t Dry Soy Milk
-
2 t Yeast
Using a bread machine, follow the instructions for a 1.5 loaf.
Replace your White (bleached) Bread with Whole Grain Bread. Your stomach will thank you. It "sticks" to the walls of your intestine, makes it difficult to do #2, and it is high in sugar.
