Naturally Ketchup
Homemade ketchup is a delicious and healthier alternative to store-bought varieties. Ingredients:
12 oz Tomato Paste
2 1/2 Cups Water
8 Tablespoons Cane Sugar
2 teaspoons Molasses
1/2 Cup Lemon Juice
2 teaspoons Oil
1 teaspoon Onion Powder
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon Celery Seed Powder
1/2 teaspoon Paprika
1 teaspoon Cinnamon Substitute (2 T Coriander+1 T Cardamom)
1 Tablespoon Pink Himalayan Salt (or) Sea Salt
1/8 teaspoon Cayenne
Directions:
1. Add water and tomato paste first. Stir thoroughly.
2. Add molasses.
3. Then add oil and lemon juice, cane sugar, celery seeds OR celery seed powder, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, pink salt, cinnamon substitute, and cayenne.
4. Cook on low heat for 30 minutes to one hour.
5. It thickens as it cooks. Reserve it in a airtight container.
Serve as needed. Enjoy!
