The name “cruciferous” is comes from the Latin cruciferae meaning “cross bearing” because the four petals resemble a cross.
This recipe was inspired by a trip to the Chinese Buffet, where you see Green Beans, Egg Rolls, Egg Foo Yung, Fried Rice, and a nice "hot pot" of Egg Drop Soup. Okay...now I've got to make those recipes, too. Keep watching - it's coming! You should see The Szechuan Green Beans and Egg Rolls already on the Blog. This recipe is the perfect blend of buttery goodness and spicy kick with our Asian cabbage dish! And not only does it take only 30 minutes, but it is SO simple to make! Enjoy!
