Sun-dried Tomatoes & Angel Hair Pasta
I like to make combo recipes from different ingredients so I don't waste them. As I was perusing recipes apps, I found one called Supercook that impressed me. It's not that easy to use (you actually have to add everything in your cabinet and refrigerator on Day 1 - and THEN you have to remove those items as you go), but once you input everything, it gives you really good recipe options. That is how we came up with this recipe. Had a lot of this and a little bit of that, and well, I think that it turned out pretty good - it's really up to you to decide. My favorite part of the recipe is the completion time: 30 Minutes and we were done. As I like to experiment, one day I was in the grocery store and saw some Hearts of Palm Angel Hair Pasta and you will see that is what I used to make the dish. I wasn't impressed, so in the future, I will use my usual go-to Whole Grain Thin Spaghetti. But for those who are living the "raw life", this one is for you. Sun-dried tomatoes can be made - you don't have to buy them in the store - click here for how to make it at home. Speaking of apps...for those daring food adventurers, I found this little app that intrigued me, called Food Mood created by Google aI under Arts & Culture.
It combines recipes from two different cuisines, like Asian + American, or German + French, to create entirely different flavor profiles. I actually tried it, but I haven't made the recipe yet - stay tuned. Just thought one of you "foodies" like myself might actually try it and let me know what happened! Okay, here is the recipe I have for you now:
Servings: 6
Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Cook Time: 15 Minutes
Total Time: 30 Minutes
Equipment Needed: Skillet, Spoon, Knife, Measuring Utensils
Tip: Always lay out all of your ingredients beforehand to confirm that you have them. It can be very disturbing to start a recipe and find out that there's ONE item that you do not have. Also, as you set up a recipe, put the ingredients aside or back in the cabinet so you do not repeat them.
