Raw Jackfruit Tuna


For those looking for new, raw recipes, here is one you might enjoy! Kelp has virtually no calories, no protein, carbs or fat, but it does have calcium, iron, folate and magnesium, and a lot of of iodine. Kelp has been linked to many health benefits, including cancer prevention, thyroid regulation and weight management and is rich in a little-known mineral called vanadium, which is being studied as an important regulator of insulin and blood sugar per WebMD. Jackfruit is a large fruit which hangs from trees and is used a meat-alternative for pork and chicken sandwiches. It basically has no flavor, so you can make what you want out of it!

Equipment Needed: 1 Food Processor, 1 Large Bowl, 1 Spoon, 1 Knife OR Chopper, Measuring Utensils

Ingredients:

1 Can Jackfruit, drained

1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt Or Pink Himalayan Salt

1/4 teaspoon Cayenne

1/4 teaspoon Dry Mustard

3 teaspoons Kelp Powder

7 Tablespoons Vegannaise

1 teaspoon Dill

1 teaspoon Marjoram

1 teaspoon Paprika

1 teaspoon Celery Seeds (optional)

1 small Onion, small, chopped, approx 1/2 cup

1/2 Red Bell Pepper, chopped, approx 1/2 cup

1 stick Celery, chopped, approx 1/2 cup

Directions:

1. Drain and chop the Jackfruit in a food processor.

2. Chop the vegetables.

3. Mix all ingredients and serve on bread or crackers. Eat and Enjoy!
